Dr. Cynthia Chambers
Dr. Cynthia Chambers teaches Aboriginal/Indigenous studies, curriculum studies, and language
and literacy at the University of Lethbridge. Presently,
she is collaborating with a team in the NWT to articulate
Aboriginal literacies, an idea and practice that extends
past print-based literacies into the literacies of
place, human relations and the material world. She has
worked extensively with scholars from Red Crow Community
College on the curriculum and pedagogy of
place, particularly in Blackfoot territory.
